His jowls trembled, and he leaned forward into the microphone. "Don't you dare bail!" he said. "I am so furious with people who leave this church! ... What on earth kind of conviction is that? What kind of patty-cake, taffy-pull experience is that?"
Was Jeffrey R. Holland right? Are you a taffy puller?
I sure am! And when I light "Taffy Puller", my room smells like an old-fashioned candy shop on the beach: sweet and tart, fruity, and nostalgic.
This candle smells so good, you'll forget "taffy puller" was supposed to be an insult!

CANDLE INSPIRATION
People who leave Mormonism are at the bottom of the barrel in the eyes of Elohim the Great and Powerful.
We're in Satan's clutches. We're easily offended. We're lazy learners and lax disciples. We're willing to give up our families because we just want so badly to sin. (I do love tea, a lot...) The King Follett discourse says we're bloodthirsty.
And we're taffy pullers!
We know this because Apostle of the Lord and special witness of Jesus Christ Jeffrey R. Holland stood up at a Tempe, Arizona stake conference in 2016 and told a crowd that we were. (And the leaders of the church cannot lead us astray, so it must be true...)
After many nights of searching, pondering, and praying, we're still not quite sure what it means to be a taffy puller. But whatever it means, if you're happy to have left Mormonism, then light up this candle and let your taffy-pulling light so shine! ✨
QUALITY + SUSTAINABILITY
All ExMo Candles are hand-poured in small batches, and each of our recipes is tweaked and tested before coming online. We take pride in the quality of our candles.
Our candles are also vegan-friendly, made and packaged sustainably, and pthalate-free. Our commitment to sustainability includes a partnership with One Tree Planted, where we donate the money to plant 100 trees for every 100 candles sold.
Finally, the removable labels on our jars make them easy to upcycle. Woohoo!
DISCREET PACKAGING
We know that you might be living with members of the church, or heck, that your mailman might be Mormon. For that reason, we've chosen not to brand our outer packaging in any way. No one will be able to tell from the outside of the box that you've ordered anything related to being an ex-Mormon. This includes the shipping label, which will simply say it's from Jen + Adri.

Smells so yummy it’s hard not to eat it. It also strangely reminds me of My Little Ponies?? This fruity sweet candle reminds me of picking out salt-water taffies at shops along the Oregon Coast as a child. Delightful!

There is something weirdly nostalgic about this, right?! For whatever reason, it takes me straight back to the 90s! So glad you like it!

This is very much summer vibes. It’s so sweet like candy. It’s like when you were a kid and would only eat the pink starburst…this is that candle.

Yes! It reminds me of lipgloss I used to wear in the ’90s, but pink Starburst hadn’t occurred to me, and it’s spot on! I’m so glad you wrote that! Thanks for the review, Audrey, and for trying out this candle!
